We had plenty of connectivity issues with the Apple products once we cut the cord. This Netgear router is by far the best router I've owned. Easy setup, confusing Web interface Similar to most Netgear routers, the R7800 is basically ready to use right out of the box. Netgear made it right with this one. Its storage performance is not the best, however. This was a purchase made to aide in the expansion of our Wi-Fi network, as well as a speed increase. I also like the look and design of the router.

Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. Finally after three different routers from spectrum I was ready to spend a good amount cash on a router instead of wasting my time and money on equipment that doesn't work. My wife said her phone seemed faster. In my experience, powerful hardware doesn't always translate into fast performance, which was the case with the X4.

Id rather lose a few mbps for an always on connection. We are in the 55 to 60age group and I heard several cuss words during the setup process. I ended up putting a second WiFi point in our house in the main area we occupied just to prevent this from happening, but that was not a very cost effective solution and really felt wasteful when our house is not that big. The router is on one side of the house in the open. Unfortunately the popup coding does not allow you to use LastPass to fill the fields and thus you have to re-key your name and pw each time! Edit: got home to find that my wife had sprung for a Nighthawk X6s for Christmas. But at least it doesnt drop connections compared to the quantum gateway and a tp link router that I previous tested too. Enjoy uninterrupted video streaming for streaming applications like YouTube ®, Netflix ®, and others.

I reset the Google WiFi system multiple times and changed around different settings including what was suggested by support. I provide technical support to clients, so I have a lot of experience using different WiFi equipment. Setup was a piece of cake for me, even doing a manual setup without any kind of wizard. Super easy to setup and configure. Also when making changes a popup appears frequently requiring your user name and password. They told me I had over 100 mps of speed coming to my house. The speed and coverage were the same as my old Netgear ac1750 or even less.

I would recommend this to a friend I bought this on Black Friday and got it hooked up but it wouldn't connect to the internet. Also I forgot to mention , use the Netgear genie webpage on computer to change the setting , if you cannot connect to computer using wireless , plug a landline into your computer that is connected to your router , type into your browser 192. I'm satisfied with my purchase. The router works best with less than a dozen or so Wi-Fi devices at a time, though it can technically support a lot more. I would have to reboot the router and it would be good for another 20 minuets.
How do I update my NETGEAR Nighthawk firmware?
I dont want to deal with reboots and random down times. The X4S has a long range and a stable signal to give you better Wi-Fi coverage in your home. See the seller's listing for full details. I jumped at the chance and haven't seen any issues so far. The speed increase is noticeable, but the range increase was minimal.

Lucky this is all around holiday season so I looking for a great unit for a great sale. The set up is very easy if one uses the nighthawk app. And then maybe 5-10 seconds later, it would reconnect. Thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated. This process usually works for resetting any router to it's factory setting.
